Workshop #1: Organizing 101

Hey Ya’ll,

We are thrilled to announce our first Workshop. This first training is meant for SDS members who are a part of active chapters or who are struggling to build up membership at their local high school or college campus and would like to have a conversation and learn some skills around some basic organizing strategies and techniques.

Some things we will be covering:

* Intro to activism/organizing/SDS (whats this all about anyway?)
* Campaign organizing 101 (thinking through a strategy to win!)
* Building and retaining chapter membership

Where: Brecht Forum, NYC 451 West Street. www.brechtforum.org
When: Thursday evening, February 28th, 7:00pm
What: SDS strategy training #1 (by and for SDSers!)
Why: Because building a strong local chapter is not always easy and we
all need to share ideas and learn tools for how to be more effective
agents of change.
